Dielectric Properties of Skin Reflects Physiological Status of Body in Sub-THz Range

 The layers that make up the skin have different components. Therefore, it is possible to change the components constituting the each skin layers according to physiological changes such as stress and exercise. This is represented by the change in dielectric constant of the skin layers in the sub-THz region. The graph above shows that the parameters extracted from the sub-THz spectrum of the skin after exercise are strongly correlated with blood pressure.
